The first stop is, in the zone north east of Montalcino, in the winery Altesino. It was built in the fifteenth-century in the “Palazzo Altesi”. Here we visit some vineyards and the wine cellar where we can taste the wines produced by the farm. Then we go on to the well preserved medieval village of Montalcino. It is situated in the hills where we can enjoy the beautiful scenery. After a visit of the main monuments, for lunch we can taste some traditional Tuscan dishes in the local Osteria. In the afternoon we will reach the zone south of Montalcino to visit the farm Barbi and taste some of their wines. The last part of tour is the farm Pian di Macina, owned and operated by a small producer of Brunello, in which Marcello will receive us and show us everything from the vines to the bottles, with a tasting of some wine directly from the barrel.
