TOUR BRUNELLO (HALF DAY)

Length of the trip: 5 hours. Minimum participants: 2 people 14.00: Pick up at your hotel and leave Siena, driving trough the spectacular Crete Senesi countryside 15.00: Visit and wine tasting at the “Altesino” wine cellar 16.00: Visit and wine tasting at the “Pian di Macina” wine cellar 17.00: Visit and wine tasting at the “Barbi” wine cellar 17.45: Visit the village of Montalcino 19.00: Return to your Hotel Departure from the city of Siena at 2.00 p.m. to the territory of Montalcino. The first cellar is in the zone north-east of Montalcino. It is the winery Altesino, built in the fifteenth-century in the building Altesi. Here we visit some vineyards and wine cellars, where we can taste the wines produced on the farm. The second stage of the tour is the farm Pian di Macina, owned and operated by a small producer of Brunello, Marcello who will greet us and show us everything from the vines to the bottles, tasting some wine directly from the barrel. The last stage of visit is Fattoria dei Barbi. The small farm of the Barbels is one of the most historical and famous wine producers in Italy. Afterwards we will proceed to the well preserved medieval village of Montalcino situated amid the Tuscan hills where we can enjoy the beautiful scenery. After a visit of the principal monuments.
