This program will help you discover the taste of Tuscany. 7 days in a wonderful castle in the heart
of Chianti region, guided tour across our land, wines and food, to understand where and how such wonderful
flavours came from.
Day one
This day is dedicated to the introduction to the course. We will spend the day at the castle speaking about the history of the wine and food of the area, related to Tuscan history, and mixing this part with a brief course of wine and olive oil tasting (3 hours in the morning and 3 in the afternoon)
Day two
Leaving the castle in the morning we are going to be in Siena for all day. A visit of pastry producing typical cakes of Siena will be followed by a short-guided visit of the city. Lunch will be in a restaurant that have recovered medieval receipt from XIV century books and the rest of the afternoon will be free in the city.

Day three
Morning is free to relax in the castle or spend time as you like the most. After lunch we leave to visit Felsina, famous winery not only for the wonderful wines but even for the excellent olive oils. Driving through Chianti area we reach another winery Fontedi for the visit and the tasting, and then will go for dinner at the famous Solociccia, a restaurant owned by the very famous butcher Dario Cecchini in Panzano in Chianti, that serve only meat dishes.

Day Four
Leaving the castle in the morning to Montalcino, we are going to visit a medium side winery of very high quality Altesino. Lunch will be in Montalcino at a Osteria Porta al Cassero, very typical and home made food. We are going to visit another winery Pian di Macina, where they produce 5000 bottles at year.

Day Five
Visit an herbs aromatic farm, to discover which is the real base of the Tuscan cuisine. Back for lunch in the castle and free time in the afternoon (about 2-3 hours)
Day Six
Leaving early in the morning we are going to visit a pecorino cheese factory (sheep cheese). After this experience we are going to visit a Chianina breeding (special Tuscan cow breed) where we are going to have lunch with their product. Going back to Vertine a visit of a Cinta Senese (Special Tuscan pork breed) breeding and working facility. (about 7-8 hours)
